About ‘The Friends of Wellesley’
The ‘Friends of Wellesley’ is an active and enthusiastic volunteer organisation and registered charity which raises funds for Wellesley School to provide additional items and experiences for the benefit of our children and the enhancement of their education.
We organise social events for the enjoyment of our children and families throughout the year. These include events such as Bonfire Night, School Discos, Winter Ball, Summer Party, Christmas Fair, Quiz and Curry Night, the Easter Bunny visit and coffee mornings.
We are proud to say that each year The ‘Friends of Wellesley’ donates 25% of its annual profit to the Year 8 charity, which is chosen by the children.
Our aim is to not only raise money to improve equipment and resources to enhance our children’s education, but also to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the School. We promote and extend the community feel of the School to new parents when they join Wellesley.
The ‘Friends of Wellesley’ raise several thousands of pounds each year and our efforts have allowed some wonderful projects to go ahead. Each year, we enter a discussion with parents and the Senior Management of the School to decide how the money should be spent for the benefit of our children and the improvement of our School. By being part of these decisions, parents automatically become more involved in the School and its future.
How to get involved
We would love to hear from you if you could help at any of our events during the year, or if you would like to join the committee.
We know that Wellesley Prep School parents and guardians are busy people and that time is precious. If you would like to help with a specific event rather than join the committee, we would warmly welcome your expertise and help.

Second Hand Uniform Sales
A wide range of uniform and equipment is available at the sale. New items such as Wellesley merchandise and other school items such as swimming hats and sports bags are also available.
Parents are invited to sell school clothes at the sale. All items are sold at 50% of the current sale price. Sellers will then receive half of the sale price back once the item is sold, the Friends of Wellesley will receive the remaining half.
Please bring clothing or items for the sale to the School office. Items should be in good condition, washed and ironed. All items should be labelled with a second-hand uniform label. Please click on the pdf below to download a sheet of second-hand uniform labels. Thank you.
