Remembrance Day

As part of the preparation for our Remembrance Service, we have made poppies to create a poppy pathway leading into the school. To encourage sustainability and “reusing the old to make new,” old art aprons were cut up and black centres were painted. As these are fabric, we will be able to use them again for displays in the future. Mr Baldwin led our school assembly where pupils were encouraged to take time to think of those affected by war and the importance of remembering those who sacrificed their lives. Our Head Boy and Girl gave wonderful readings and Max in Year 6 did a trumpet solo. It was a poignant moment for the children, even at this young age.
