As part of ALS, Year 7 & 8 have spent the last 5 weeks learning survival skills in the Daneshill woods. Instructors from ‘Wilderness Expertise’ have taught the pupils how to make shelters, the importance of making a ‘controlled’ fire and they even made soda bread. The pupils learned how to react in an emergency and mastered the art of making a stretcher with natural materials.

The focus of these sessions  is on challenge, adventure, resilience and problem-solving.
