Admissions Procedure
It is possible for the pupils to enrol at the school at any age. The majority of pupils tend to join the school in September but we are usually able to consider entry throughout the year.
The admissions procedure will vary depending on the point of entry but in general the first stage is to contact the School Registrar either by phone, e-mail or via the website to request a hard copy of the prospectus or to discuss any initial enquiries you have about the school.
Following this we strongly recommend you visit the school as you will get a much richer sense of our values and approaches to education and learning as well as getting a feel for the school itself. The tours usually include a visit of both the Pre-Preparatory and Preparatory schools (dependent on the age of the child) and are led by the Headmaster. You will also have the opportunity to meet teachers and pupils.
There is no specific academic entrance assessment required; however pupils joining after Year 2 will spend a morning at the school so that we can gauge their progress to date.
After visiting the school you will be given a registration form. Once you have decided whether or not you would like to enrol your child the completed form should be returned to the school office with the registration fee (£100). A year before your child is due to start you will be contacted and requested to pay the deposit (£400). Once this has been received your child will be guaranteed a place at the school.
Following this you and your child will be invited along to ‘new children’s morning’ in June for a chance to get to know all the others parents and children joining the school.
